Our 2025 Sessions

GrassRoots Middle offers a unique educational experience beyond the traditional classroom setting for homeschool families and children aged 8-14. Our BIPOC-centered, nature-based program is held once a week for 2.5 hours. It features two main blocks, each lasting 30-45 minutes, with the remaining time dedicated to outdoor activities, movement, and collaborative learning. We meet from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. on Fridays throughout the Summer (invitation-only), Autumn, Winter, and Spring seasons. We're thrilled to introduce the following lessons for Autumn:

Government

Scholars will focus on the structure, functions, and principles of a government, particularly that of the United States.

Artistic Expression

Scholars will share their unique perspectives and interpretations of the world, through creative mediums like music, poetry, dance, handwork, painting, and more.

GrassRoot Movements

The study and signifiance of social or political movements driven by ordinary citizens, rather than established authorities.

Fun Fitness +

Creative Play Activities

Participation in spirited daily movement activities to build cardiovascular strength. This includes free-time to move our bodies autonomously in nature.

Leadership

Designed to equip scholars with essential leadership skills, such as communication, decision-making, and problem-solving, while fostering personal responsibility and emotional intelligence.

Environmental Sustainability

Study the responsible use and management of natural resources to ensure their availability for both present and future generations.
